Ooh La La Cupcakes

Ooh La La Cupcakes are "Da' bomb!"

Yup, I'm using it, that phrase of which I've grown so tired of, "Da' bomb!". Unfortunately, there's really no other expression that comes even close to describing the euphoria one experiences when you bite into these delicious little sweethearts. After the fist bite, my brain starts arguing with itself in hyper drive: "It's that butter cream that makes it soooo good. No, it's the fresh ingredients which are miraculously devoid of any additives. Don't be stupido, it's the rich, sweet butter cream topping that makes it so scrumptious, it borders on criminal".

Can you tell I like these cupcakes? Ok, it's not all Calibeault white chocolate curls and creme de menthe butter cream icing. The single cupcakes are $3, gulp. A dozen of these beauties will set you back $29. But hey, according to their web site, a percent of all store profits goes to Opportunity International Canada. This organization provides an opportunity for people in chronic poverty to improve their lives by providing small loans and training so they can work their way out of poverty with dignity.

Damn, now that's what I call reverse karma. You might think that eating a $3 cupcake is a somewhat hedonistic, extravagant action. Ooh no, what you're doing is helping someone help themselves out of poverty. How knew that helping others could be so tasty?
